FAQs
What is RAPID Training?
RAPID Training is a UK premium advanced and track motorcycle training company, founded in 1997 and based in West Yorkshire. RAPID is Honda UK’s official training partner. Its coaches include TT racers, British Superbike Championship racers, endurance racers and Police Class 1 qualified riders, and it runs its own British Superbike Championship race team.
How is RAPID different from IAM RoadSmart or RoSPA advanced training?
IAM RoadSmart and RoSPA courses are delivered by trained volunteers, follow the IPSGA system from the police Roadcraft manual, and end in a formal test. RAPID coaching is delivered by full-time professional coaches, has no exam and no rigid syllabus, and includes machine control content that traditional civilian advanced courses barely cover. RAPID’s approach replaces sequential IPSGA hazard processing with an intuitive trade-off of speed and position across multiple hazards at once.
Do I need an advanced qualification before booking?
No. RAPID coaches riders at every level of experience, from newly qualified to racers. Every new customer speaks to the RAPID team before booking so the right programme is recommended for their goals — there is no obligation and the conversation is free.
How do I book a course?
New customers start with a conversation: call, WhatsApp the team on 07481 786786, or send an enquiry and the team will recommend the right programme — BIKEMASTER, ROADMASTER, TRACKMASTER or a Honda Bespoke day — for your experience and goals. Existing members can book BIKEMASTER and TRACKMASTER track day places directly through the member portal. ROADMASTER days are arranged on demand around your diary.
Will RAPID training reduce my motorcycle insurance premium?
Riders who complete BIKEMASTER or ROADMASTER Level 1 or above qualify for benefits with RAPID’s insurance partner, including premium discounts, 0% finance, free protected no-claims bonus and excess protection. Recognition varies by insurer, so check the details on our insurance page.
What happens on a RAPID track day?
RAPID track days pool BIKEMASTER and TRACKMASTER coaching. Riders run in three groups rotating hourly, with a maximum of 36 riders and up to 12 coaches on circuit — so ratios stay low and track time stays generous. You ride your own bike.
What is the RAPID Club?
The RAPID Club is an annual membership costing £149 per year, giving riders access to the members area, the track day booking portal, member events, exclusive content and member pricing. Club membership is separate from course bookings — you can train with RAPID without joining, and join without booking a course.
Where does RAPID operate?
RAPID coaches nationwide across the UK. Road courses are arranged in your region; track days run at circuits around the country; and from 2027 the coached tour programme covers Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man TT, the Black Forest and the Dolomites.
Does RAPID train companies and fleets?
Yes. RAPID delivers rider training for organisations with employees who ride for work, built around an employer’s duty of care. Corporate programmes are scoped individually — contact the team to discuss requirements.
Can I buy RAPID training as a gift?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available in the shop and can be redeemed against any RAPID course or tour deposit. Vouchers are valid for 24 months from issue.
